My 5 Fave Iphone/Ipod Touch Apps!

Hiya!
Today as the title suggests I am going to let you know my 5 favourite apps for my Ipod Touch. If anyone knows me they know that my Ipod is my pride and joy I never leave home without it...I would go back and get it if I forget it lol!

1. Facebook...this goes without saying this is my addiction! I am on it from I wake til I go to sleep everyday, its the first thing I look at it in the morning and the last at night! sheesh...addict much ;)
2. Tiny Tower...I don't know why but I love this little game, basically you build a tower of shops/apartments etc and keep building lol! nothing exciting but I play everyday hehe!
3. Words With Friends...this is just like Scrabble, I have the free version and its great, I play all the time, you can connect to your Facebook and Twitter friends and play games with them.
4. Iperiod...this is the most helpful app I have and I love it. Its basically a period tracker but its very dicreet and awesome. It calculates your due dates and ovulation times, cycle length and all that, its really good for me because mine are all over the place lately so can keep track here and not forget which I do easily as my body loves to play tricks!
5. Instagram...you all know about this one I am sure, its a camera app with loads of little settings and changes you can make to your pics, loads of fun to play around with and you can get some amazing shots from this app!

Well thats my top 5 folks, I hope you liked them! Leave recommendations in a comment below for me as I am always looking for more greatness :D

Until next time

How I tame the beasts AKA...eyebrows!

Hiya

Today I am going to run through how I shape/tame my eyebrows, I have quite thick natural eyebrows but they have a good shape to them so I generally just tidy them up...
Heres what I use...
Wax Strips, Spatula, Tweezers, Scissors, Spoolie, Boiling Water (for the wax) Wax, Cleanser, Cotton Pad
Before

After

After Close Up
I am by no means an expert at shaping my brows, nor do I claim to be, I just wanted to share what I do.

Heres what I do...
  1. Warm the wax in hot water, I leave it in for about 5-10 mins
  2. Wax in between my 2 brows and tweeze any stubborn hairs that don't want to move
  3. I always do my left brow first...I wax above my eyebrow first, I know you aren't suppose to but I always have a big bushy part there that isn't in shape with the rest of my brows
  4. Wax underneath my brow following the natural curvature
  5. tweeze any strays from both above and below
  6. Next I take my spoolie brush and brush all the hairs upwards so they are all pointing up, then I take my small scissors and trim the hairs if they go above the natural line. This way if my brows do get messed up they still look in shape as you can't see any bushy hairs sticking out of place  ;)
  7. Repeat for the right eye.

Thats all I do for it, nothing special and nothing professional but at least it tidies them up, saves me a few pounds and keeps them maintained!

Any questions pop me a comment below and I will be happy to answer

Until next time...

Nail Polish Storage

Hiya!

Today I am showing you all my nail polish storage and kitbag just so you can all have a wee nosy I love seeing how others store all their bits and pieces and thought you all might enjoy it too :D

This is on top of my 3 drawer trolley which I got from Argos. So on top I have a Poundland cleaning caddy which holds all my nail art stripers on the left side, the little square box holds all my stamping stuff. On the right hand side I have 3 laundry tablet boxes which hold, my nail wheels, foils, containers, sponges, dotting tools, rhinestones etc...

Top Drawer - Barry M's and China Glaze, these are my 2 favourite brands so I like to keep them seperate cos I am weird :D

Middle Drawer - This holds all my polish that I have 2 or more of. Collection 2000, Wetnwild, LA Girl, Milani, Ciate, Avon, Revlon, Stargazer, Sinful Colors, Nails Inc, OPI and Jessica

Bottom Drawer - Holds all my random lonely polishes. Hard Candy, LA Splash, Misa, Dr Remedy, Borghese, Miss Sporty etc...

This is my kit bag which I got with a ton of supplies when doing my Nail Technician Course
Inside the bag, it holds quite a lot and still remains streamlined and easy to carry about when taking it anywhere. In this at the minute I have all my basic manicure stuff, files, base/top coats, bruses, cuticle creams, buffers, clippers and so on...

I hope you liked to see inside my storage and sort of a mini collection also...
Until next time...

NOTD featuring Barry M Blue Moon

Hiya!

This was a forerunner for my Back to Work mani but I decided it was too plain and I needed something with a bit more pizazz :D

Barry M Blue Moon, this is 3 coats and its still a little sheer, I think formula wise this is very thin compared to other Barry M's I have

Then of course because I couldn't leave well enough alone here it is stamped...

I used Barry M Navy for the stamping

What I used
  • Barry M Blue Moon
  • Barry M Navy
  • Bundle Monster BM208
Thats it lovelies, very plain and simple :D Hope you like it! I will show what I chose for my back to work mani soon!

Until next time...

Naked Nails!

Hiya!

Today you are going to get to see some beauties...my naked nails! NOT!!

They really arent pretty at the minute, some are stained and they are all different lengths...

The reason for showing my naked nails is because I have started using the Color Club Vitabase Nutrient Nail Strengthener today. It says within 2 weeks you can see/feel a difference in your nails so I have decided to try it and see what happens in 2 weeks, so here you have it my naked nails and I can look back in 2 weeks and see if there is a change!

The instructions for the Strengthener are simple
  1. Apply as your base coat, then use your normal polish on top
  2. Reapply 2-3 times a week, this will work fine for me as I change my polish every other day so I am going to reapply every other day :D
  3. After 2 weeks you will notice a difference in strength
So we will see if it does work, I am hoping it does as my nails are a lot more brittle these days compared to say a year ago! After the two weeks I am hoping for some good growth and to see less splitting then I will take my nails down to all the same length from there!

Sorry I didn't post yesterday guys I just wasn't feeling it lol!
Until next time...
